What is DTS?

We are spending six months here in Herrnhut, Germany as a part of Youth With A Mission, or YWAM.  YWAM is a movement consisting of primarily young adult Christians (though it's for all ages!) where you are trained to go out and make disciples and share God's love with all of the nations.  This is where the DTS comes in!  DTS stands for Discipleship Training School.  This particular school lasts 25 weeks consisting of 12 weeks of lecture, 2 weeks of short-term outreach (or mini-outreach), 10 weeks of international outreach, and a final week for follow-up and graduation.

This DTS is called "Revive."  During the time here in Germany, we will be learning about God for who He really is and grow to have a greater, more intimate relationship with him.  We will be learning to listen to God and learn to discern what He is saying; doing so will allow us to have a better understanding of what God's plans are for our lives.  The outreach phase will allow us to apply what we learn in lecture phase on a worldwide level: spreading the love of God to people in Asia and Africa, primarily.
